How to navigate and view your recordings in the video player for both the web and the iOS app

The Recordings tab lists all the recordings in your account that you have access to. This includes video recorded by Spiideo camera systems, mobile Spiideo cameras, uploaded video, etc.

You can see the list of recordings you have access to on both the Web app and iOS app:

When signing into the Spiideo Web app (app.spiideo.net), you will see the following dropdown:

  • Recordings

  • Calendar

  • Presentations

  • Clips (only specific subscription types)

  • Leagues (only specific subscription types)

When you click on the Recordings tab, you will see a list of all of your recordings that have been shared with you through Groups.

If you are an Administrator, you have multiple different views to select from:

NOTE: based on your Spiideo user rights given by your system administrator, you may not have full access to everything like Starting recordings, uploading video, or see certain recordings. Read more about Roles and permissions.

  • New recordings will automatically appear in the list, and if there is a live recording going on, it will also be visible!

  • Your recordings can be a combination of any type of video - recordings from fixed Spiideo camera systems, mobile Spiideo cameras, or uploaded videos.

  • To search recordings that you have access to, use the search tool at the top of the recordings list


Viewing recordings on the Web app (app.spiideo.net)

After you open a recording by clicking on the video thumbnail, you will enter the video player mode.

Pan and zoom in the video by moving the mouse around the video window.

The first thing you will see when you have signed into the Spiideo iOS app, is a list of recordings and related information (title, place, time etc.).

  • All of these recordings have either been made by you or someone else has shared them with you (i.e. a Group that you are a member of).

  • The recordings in the list are all stored in the cloud, and will be accessible from any device that you use to log in (iPhone/iPad for iOS and any laptop for We

  • New recordings will automatically appear in the list, and if there is a live recording going on, it will also be visible!

  • To search recordings that you have access to, use the search tool at the top of the recordings list

  • The recordings can be a mixture of different types of video - recordings from fixed mounted Spiideo camera systems, mobile Spiideo cameras, or uploaded videos.

NOTE: To refresh the list in iPad/iPhone, you can pull the list down and then release (i.e. “Pull to refresh”). This will update the list.

When you tap on the video thumbnail, you will enter the video player mode. You can view the recording in portrait and landscape mode. Feel free to try out the different tools:

  • Camera icon - change angles

  • Drawing tool icon - drop down of the different telestrator tools

  • Screen recording button (bottom right) - capture anything on the screen and export as a video file (text, email, save to camera roll, etc.)

On the lower part of the screen in landscape mode, you will see the video timeline:

  • tags - lines indicating the different tags in the video (and option to navigate between these tags).

  • filtering icon - filter to any play you would like to watch in seconds. When filtering, blue means it will be visible on the timeline and white means it will be removed from the timeline.

  • player controls - play/stop the video, jump back/forth, control speed, etc
