Groups are how you share content with people internally within your organization. You can think of Groups as subsets of people in your account that you want to share recordings, presentations, clip collections and other content with.

  • Groups are created by the system administrators

  • There is no limit to the # of Groups you can create

  • A common example would be to create a "Coaching staff" group so you can share a video with all of your coaches.

TIP: In order to share with Groups (even as an administrator), you must be added to that group first. If you are unable to share a video with a particular Group, you can double-check that you've been added to that group first. Once you add yourself and refresh, you should now see the Group in the list of options to share with.

1. Create and add users to a Group

Go to app.spiideo.net > Groups

Create a new group

Type the Group name

Type in a Spiideo user email (i.e. your Spiideo account email) and click Add

What if I try to add a user and I get the below error message?

This message will appear if the user you are trying to add has not registered his/her Spiideo account.

  • They can create their Spiideo Perform account here.

  • After they have created their account, they will see a message that a system administrator needs to add them to an account.

  • As an administrator, you can use the email they signed up with and add them as an administrator or to a Group

  • If they are having trouble signing in, make sure they are signing in the same way they created their account. For example, if they created they account with Google, then they will need to sign in by selecting Continue with Google.

IMPORTANT: You will not be able to share recordings, presentations, or clip collections to a Group unless you have added to that Group by you or another administrator in the account. To add yourself to the Group, just click on the Groups tab, select the Group, and type in your Spiideo user email. Once you refresh the page, you should now see that Group is an option to select from!

Sharing recordings

After you click start or schedule recording, select Share with and select which group you would like to share the recording with. You can share a recording with multiple groups.

Sharing presentations or clip collections

After you click create new presentation, select Share with and select which group you would like to share the recording with

NOTE: You can currently only share a presentation with one Group

Sharing with Groups on the iOS app

Start New Recording > Share with > Select your Groups > Start recording

Edit the Group you are sharing with on the Web/iOS app

You can always edit the Group a recording, presentation or clip collection is shared with by following the steps below:

On the web app, go to your list view and select the 3 dots next to the recording to edit

Select Share with and select your Group(s)
