Start a Recording in Spiideo Replay PRO

Learn how to start a recording using Spiideo Replay PRO.

Starting a recording is a key step when using Spiideo Replay PRO. In this article, we’ll show you how to get set up, whether you want to schedule a future recording or begin one right away.

Before you start a recording you need to ensure that you have recording access. Read more about that here and come back to this article once you're ready to start recording.


Start a Recording Right Away

Using this method starts a recording instantly.

To start a recording right away:

  1. On the 'Recordings' tab, click '+ New'.

  2. Enter a recording title.

  3. Click the dropdown menu option under 'Scene' and select the scene you want to record from. If you have access to a larger amount of scenes you can use the search bar to quicker locate your scene.

  4. Select the sport that you'll be recording.


To continue:

  1. Click ‘Instant Download Settings’ and choose whether you want the predefined download to start automatically.

  2. Choose how you'd like to store your recording.

  3. Select to what group/s, if any, that you'd like to share the recording with.

  4. Select to what user/s, if any, that you'd like to share the recording with.

  5. Click 'Privacy Settings' and choose whether people you’ve shared the recording with can tag it.

  6. Click 'Start recording'.


Schedule a Recording

To schedule a recording:

  1. On the 'Recordings' tab, click 'Calendar' followed by 'Schedule a new recording'.

  2. Enter a recording title.

  3. Select the scene you want to record from. If you have access to a larger amount of scenes you can use the search bar to quicker locate your scene.

  4. Select the sport that you'll be recording.


To continue:

  1. Select the date and time that you want to record. Here you can choose:

    1. The year.

    2. The month.

    3. The date.

    4. The start and end time. This can be entered either by using the preset start times or by typing one in manually.

  2. Click ‘Instant Download Settings’ and choose whether you want the predefined download to start automatically.

  3. Choose how you'd like to store your recording.

  4. Select to what group/s, if any, that you'd like to share the recording with.

  5. Click 'Schedule recording'.


You can also click on the calendar to start scheduling. This will set the start time and date for you automatically.


Batch Schedule Multiple Recordings at Once

A great option for scheduling a large amount of recordings without having to do it one by one.

To start batch scheduling:

  1. On the 'Recordings' tab, click 'Calendar' followed by 'Schedule multiple recordings'.

  2. Click 'Download' to begin downloading an .xlsx file locally.


Continue by uploading the file to Google Drive where you'll be filling in the necessary information.

To upload the file to Google Drive:

  1. Click '+ New' followed by 'File upload'.

  2. Select the file that you just downloaded from Spiideo and upload it.

  3. When the upload is complete, click the file to open it.


Next up is filling in the recording information.

⚠️ Please note: that it is important to follow the preset format from the example row for the upload of the file to work.

Once you've opened up the file:

  1. Fill in the Title.

  2. Fill in the Date.

  3. Fill in the Start Time.

  4. Fill in the Duration of the recording (in minutes).

  5. Select the scene from the dropdown menu.

  6. Select how you want to store the recording (full/trimmed).

  7. Select to what group/s, if any, that you'd like to share the recording with.

  8. Repeat the process for all of the recordings that you want to schedule.

    1. You can also copy a portion of a row, or the entire row, and paste it to streamline your process for recordings with similar information.


Once you've filled in the information for all of your recordings, it's time to upload them to Spiideo.

To download the file and upload it to Spiideo Replay:

  1. Click 'File' in the top left corner.

  2. Hover over 'Downloads' and click on 'Microsoft Excel' to begin downloading the file locally.

  3. Head back into Spiideo Replay and choose 'Upload'.

  4. Select the file that you just downloaded from Google Drive.

  5. Once the file is uploaded, click 'Review [number] recordings'.

  6. Verify that all of the information is correct and click 'Schedule [number] recordings' if everything looks as expected. You'll see the newly scheduled recordings in the calendar overview.
