Scheduling a Broadcast in Spiideo Play

Learn how to schedule your next Spiideo Play broadcast

Role Requirements to Schedule a Broadcast

In order to schedule a broadcast, you must be granted one of two roles in your Spiideo Play account:

  • Admin

  • Scheduler

If you need to be added as one of these roles, please speak to your account admin. If you need further information on roles, you can read here.


Scheduling Your Broadcast

Once you have the required permissions, you can login to Spiideo Play and get started by pressing the "Add new broadcast" button.

You have now started the process of scheduling a broadcast. Please follow the instructions.


Broadcast Details

Fill in the event details.

  1. Description of the event, intended for the viewers. For Example: U17 Friendly Match.

  2. Select which Scene this game is being played at from the drop down list.

  3. Select sport is for arenas that have multiple types of sport played there. If there is only one sport available, this will be auto-filled.

  4. Date and Time for the broadcast to begin

  5. Once all of these have been successfully filled out, the "Next" button in the bottom right will light up and you can continue to the next step by clicking it


Fill in the teams that will be playing in the broadcast.

  1. Dropdown menu where you will be able to select a team that you previously have created. You can follow this link to find the guide for creating teams and players.

  2. Option to change jersey color depending on which color the team will use. If there is a need to edit the team, this option is also available by clicking the "Edit Team" button.

  3. If you have players in the team they will show up here. If you would like to edit the lineup there is a option for that as well.

Once you are satisfied with the teams you can click on the "Next" button in the bottom right.


Create using a Production Recipe

Production Recipes are available for Spiideo Play Pro accounts. See this guide for Production Recipes if you haven't yet made one

On this page you can:

  1. Chose Production Recipe

  2. Add a name to the production.

  3. Select a pre-made recipe that you would like to use on the broadcast.

  4. A overview of the contents of the recipe.

  5. Pre-game: Time from start of broadcast to game/match start. Once this time has elapsed, AutoFollow will start
    Duration: The length of the broadcast from game/match start until the end of the broadcast.

If you do not have a pre-made recipe, you can create a custom one on the same step.

On this page you can:

  1. Choose to manually create a production specific for this broadcast.

  2. Add a name to the production

  3. Select a Production level, when you click on this option a window will pop up with the different Production levels. You will also be able to see what is included in each level and which ones are available for your account.

  4. Select a Storyboard that fits your needs. When you have chosen a Storyboard you will see a overview of what that storyboard contains.

  5. Pre-game: Time from start of broadcast to game/match start. Once this time has elapsed, AutoFollow will start
    Duration: The length of the broadcast from game/match start until the end of the broadcast.

Once you have created the Production recipe you will be able to add your assets on the next step.


Manually Create your Production

You will now be able to add sponsors and other assets.

  1. A summary of the production, you can see the recipe, production level, storyboard and graphics package that are used.

  2. You can add images to the production that will show in the area discribed in each option. When uploading the image you will see a preview of what it will look like on the broadcast.

  3. Option to add a video that will be shown during the intermission of the game.

  4. Possibility to add additional assets that can be activated during the broadcast manually in the CloudStudio.


Set your Broadcast Outputs

Select how you wish your viewers to access your broadcast, either on Spiideo's OTT or via a variety of external broadcasting methods


Review and Confirm

The last page before finishing the scheduling is a summary of the broadcast where you can go through the settings and contents of your broadcast.

Once you are satisfied you can click "Complete" and let the show begin!
