After mounting the camera system in its final position the next thing to do is to connect the ethernet cable and verify the cameras come online and connect to the Spiideo cloud. In case you have completed the Dry Run before, this task won't take much time to complete.
Connect the Waterproof Ethernet Coupler
💡 Slide the network cable through the small screw-on housing first, then the large screw-on housing before connecting it to the camera. The red cable sealing ring can be opened and does not need to be slid onto the cable.
How to Mount the Ethernet Coupler:
Insert the Ethernet cable into the camera port. You'll hear a 'click' once the cable is inserted correctly.
Tighten the coupler body securely by turning it until it’s firmly connected.
Move the red sealing ring along the cable and press it lightly toward the coupler body.
Slide the rear cable gland toward the coupler, ensuring the cable passes through smoothly.
Screw the rear cable gland onto the coupler housing until it’s firmly secured. ⚠️ Only tighten the rear cable gland. Do not rotate the housing while tightening.
Please note: Not mounting the waterproof ethernet coupler may result in damage that is not covered by the warranty.
Verify the Camera's Online Status
Once the Ethernet cable is connected to the camera and to the PoE/+ switch, open the installer link provided in your shipping information email.
On the installer page, you will see live images from the camera on your screen if it is online. If the camera is offline, we recommend troubleshooting using the camera offline troubleshooting article as well as the Power, Network and Firewall requirement article for your camera model found here.
