3. Important safety notes

When position and elevating the stand it MUST at the same time be secured in such a way that it will not introduce any risk of falling with the camera mounted. Do not use the Spiideo Portable Smartcam in any situations where a safe mounting of the stand can not be guaranteed (for example in heavy winds, or there is a risk it will be hit by objects)

There are several standard options for help securing stands/tripod, including but not limited to weights (sandbags) and poles securing each respective stand/tripod leg. See the example picture below.

4. Spiideo Portable Smart Cam integration with the Hi-Pod stand

As long as you have a 1/4" or 3/8" screw this will fit Spiideo's Portable SmartCam.

The quick release fits a 3/8" screw and there is an adapter included with the Portable SmartCam that adapts to 1/4"

Below you will find the key pieces in order to mount the Spiideo Portable Smart Cam to a Hi-Pod stand

A 3/8" (or 1/4") screw pointing upwards is needed to fit the quick release for the Portable SmartCam

The quick release part that fits to the top of the stand. Also pictured is the adaptor that adapts a 1/4" screw to the 3/8" thread in the quick release.

Without the adapter the center thread fits a 3/8" screw

With the adapter the center thread fits a 1/4" screw

The mating part on the camera fits and locks into the quick release on the stand
