Camera Movement/Adjustment After Calibrating

Steps to take if you move your Portable SmartCam placement after calibrating

Updated over a week ago

Once your calibration session is complete, you must not move the Portable SmartCam. If the camera is moved, you should act as followed:

Movement before recording

You should redo your calibration session if:

  • The tripod is moved to a new location

  • The camera is raised/lowered on the tripod

  • If the size of the playing field is changed

If the above has occurred, you can redo the calibration process by clicking here:

Movement during recording

If the following happens during a recording:

  • The tripod is moved to a new location

  • The camera is raised/lowered on the tripod

  • If the size of the playing field is changed

It can be important to stop the recording, redo the calibration process and begin a new recording. This is because the above changes can cause:

  • AutoFollow to not properly track players, missing parts or the entirety of your recording

  • Pan, tilt and zoom features to not behave properly

Spiideo is unfortunately unable to fix any issues that arise from camera movement during a recording. If you wish to redo the calibration process, you can do so by clicking here:
