The camera positioning guide helps our customers answer the following questions:

  • How far back from the field/rink/court should we mount the cameras?

  • How high should the cameras be mounted?

  • Where should be install a pole to mount the cameras? How close to the field?

  • If we installed the cameras "here", how would this look?

It's tough to know exactly where to mount cameras and every location around the world is slightly unique.

At Spiideo, we have camera systems for all sports and conditions:

  • Indoors and outdoors

  • In constrained spaces

  • Ceiling views or goal camera views

  • Low light

  • Far away or close to the field

This article helps to answer the above questions and provide recommendations on camera position based on which camera system you ordered or plan to order:

  1. S-LINE Wide camera positioning

  2. S-LINE ULTRA Wide camera positioning

  3. X-LINE Wide camera positioning

What to look for?

  1. First, determine how far back you can mount the cameras from the sideline

  2. Based on that distance, refer to the chart to choose the best height (based on the green optimal zone for viewing)
