The Highlight Studio is your dedicated editing workspace, giving you the tools to customize, fine-tune, and arrange highlight clips into the perfect highlight reel.
Before heading into the Highlight Studio, you need to create a highlight reel. This can be done using one of the following methods:
Use Highlight Studio
Whether you create your highlight reel manually or use AI Highlights, your highlight reels are edited, viewed, and downloaded via the highlight studio.
In the highlight studio, you can:
Add more highlights.
Filter and search highlights.
Edit the length of a highlight.
View a list of the highlights as well as information about each highlight.
Download your highlight reel.
Present the highlight reel using either 'Story View' or 'Present'.*
Add notes to a highlight.
View the added notes.
Use the video player controls.
* 'Story View' is only available for highlight reels created using AI Highlights & Stories. 'Present' is only available for highlight reels consisting only of manually created highlights.
Adjust the Clip Status
Using the status menu is a great way to keep track of clips you want to edit, are in the process of editing, or have already edited.
Click the small circle in the bottom-right corner of a highlight tile, then select the status you want to apply.
Filter the Highlights
The highlights can be filtered by either status or action.
To filter your highlights:
Click the three-lined filter icon.
Select your filter.
To remove the filter, simply repeat the process.
Searching for Highlights
When searching for highlights, the system displays results that match your keyword in either the title or the notes.
To search for a highlight, click the '🔍︎' icon and start typing.
Add Highlights
There are two ways to add highlights to your reel:
Import already existing highlights.
Add completely new highlights.
Import Existing Highlights
You can import already existing highlights that are sourced from CloudStudio, integration, or AI Highlight orders.
To import already existing highlights:
Click '+ Add'.
Filter the tags on teams.*
Filter the tags on the game event.*
Filter the tags on players.*
Filter the tags on the dataset (where the tags are sourced from).*
Filter the tags on if they have already been imported or not.*
Tick the boxes of the highlights you'd like to add.
Click 'Add to reel'.

Add New Highlights
New highlights that are created manually will be 12-seconds-long, with a 6-second-long post- and preroll.
To add new highlights:
Click '+ Add'.
Click on the timeline below the video player, and when you see a highlight you want to add, click 'Add highlight'.
Once you've added all your highlights, click 'Done'.
Rename a Highlight
Renaming a highlight lets you replace titles, making it easy for your team to identify the exact play at a glance.
To rename a highlight:
Click '︙' located in the top right of the highlight tile.
Enter a new name for your highlight.
Click anywhere outside the window to automatically save your changes.
Add a Note to a Highlight
Adding a note does double duty: it provides immediate context on why the highlight was created, and it introduces key terms that make the clip much easier to find via search later.
To add a note to a highlight:
Click on the note icon located in the top right corner.
Enter a heading.
Enter a body.
Click 'X' in the top right to save.
Once you have saved the note, it will be visible in the bottom left corner of the video player.
Edit the Highlight
Fine-tune your highlights by adjusting the pre- and post-roll durations and shifting the action timestamp to the precise moment the play occurred.
Click on the 'Edit' button located on the top left of the video player to begin editing.
To edit the highlight:
Edit the timestamp flag: Click and drag the timestamp flag to adjust the timestamp of the moment of play.
Edit the start or end time.
Drag the entire middle range to shift the entire clip forward or backward along the timeline without altering its total length.
Drag the left or right ends to adjust the start or end time individually, changing the overall duration of the clip.
Click 'Save' when you are satisfied.
It is also possible to adjust the pre- and post-roll for all of your highlights at once.
To update the pre- and post-roll for all highlights at once:
Click '︙' located in the top right of any highlight tile.
Click 'Select all'.
Click '︙' located in the top right of any highlight tile again.
Click 'Edit [number] clips.
Use the left (
<) and right (>) arrow buttons under the 'Start' section to shift when the clip begins.Use the left (
<) and right (>) arrow buttons under the 'End' section to shift when the clip ends.Click 'Save'.
Delete a Highlight
Deleting a highlight permanently removes the clip from your collection, allowing you to easily clear out unwanted footage and keep your workspace clean and organized.
To delete a highlight:
Click '︙' located in the top right of the highlight tile.
Click 'Delete'.
Duplicate a Highlight
Duplicating a highlight creates an exact copy of the clip, allowing you to safely try out different edits or create multiple variations without altering your original footage.
To duplicate a highlight:
Click '︙' located in the top right of the highlight tile.
Click 'Duplicate'.
Copy a Highlight to Another Highlight Reel
Copying a highlight to another reel lets you seamlessly add that clip to a different highlight reel while keeping the original highlight exactly where it is.
To copy a highlight to another reel:
Click '︙' located in the top right of the highlight tile.
Click 'Copy to Highlight Reel'.
Select an already existing reel or create a new one.
Rearrange the Highlights
By default, the list of highlights is listed in chronological order, but you can drag and drop the tiles to change their order.
Click and drag the highlight tile to rearrange your feed.
Present and View Your Highlight Reel
Once your highlight reel is complete, you'll be able to present and view it. There are two options depending on how your highlight reel was created:
Present: available for reels that were created manually.
Story View: available for highlight reels created with AI Highlights and Stories.
Present
To start presenting, click on 'Present' in the top right corner.
In the present mode, you can jump between highlights, view notes, change camera angles (if available on the scene), and use a range of video player options.
Whilst presenting, you are able to:
View the name of the highlight and broadcast.
View the highlight note.
Skip between highlights.
Use the video player options.
Change the camera angle to present the highlight from.*
* Only available if the scene has more than one camera angle.
Story View
Story View in Highlight Studio is the “narrative” way to review a highlight reel. With Story View, you can verify whether the reel feels like a coherent recap and not just a list of best moments.
To enable 'Story View':
Click 'Story View' in the top right corner to trigger an automatic presentation of the entire highlight reel.
If you instead want to view each highlight individually, click 'Go through each clip' in the bottom left.
Click 'Next Clip' or 'Previous Clips' to navigate between highlights.
Click 'Edit Reel' to leave Story View.
Download Your Highlight Reel
Creating a download lets you export your highlights directly to your device, making it easy to share clips with players and staff or upload them to your website and social media channels.
If you want to add an intro and outro to your highlight reel, you'll need to upload them to your asset library.
To create a download:
Click the download icon.
Select an intro and outro.*
Click 'Create'.

The highlight reel will be ready to download as soon as it has finished processing.
When the download has finished processing, click 'Download'.
