Device and network requirements for a smooth CloudStudio Off Site experience.

The hardware requirements will vary depending on the workload that the device is put under. Keep reading to learn more about the requirements for both Mac and PC.


Device Requirements

CloudStudio Off Site on Mac

The hardware requirements for using Spiideo Play on a Mac depend on how many angles you are broadcasting from.

The hardware requirements are outlined as follows.

Requirements when broadcasting from one angle:

  • Chip: Apple M2 or better

  • RAM: 16 GB or more

Requirements when broadcasting from 2-4 angles:

  • Chip: M2 or better

  • RAM: 20 GB or more

Requirements when broadcasting from 5 or more angles:

  • Chip: M2 or better

  • RAM: 28 GB or more


CloudStudio Off Site on PC

The hardware requirements for using Spiideo Play on a PC depend on how many angles you are broadcasting from.

The hardware requirements are outlined as follows.

Requirements when broadcasting from one angle:

  • CPU & RAM: Intel Core i5-11500H or later, 16 GB RAM or more

  • Graphics system: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon Pro 5600 or later,

    4 GB VRAM or higher

Requirements when broadcasting from 2-4 angles:

  • CPU & RAM: Core i7 11850H or later, 20 GB RAM or more

  • Graphics system: nVidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RDNA or later,

    8GB VRAM or higher

Requirements when broadcasting from 5 or more angles:

  • CPU & RAM: Core i7 11850H or later, 28 GB RAM or more

  • Graphics system: nVidia GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RDNA or later,

    10GB VRAM or higher


Network Requirements

The network speed requirements for CloudStudio Off Site depend on how many camera angles you are broadcasting from.

Validate that the network speeds are at least:

  • Download bandwidth per device: 10Mbit/s per angle that you are broadcasting.

    • A broadcast from one camera angle would require at least 10Mbit/s.

    • A broadcast with three camera angles would require at least 30Mbit/s

    • A broadcast with five camera angles would require at least 50Mbit/s

  • Upload bandwidth per device: 10 Mbit/s

We recommend that you connect your device to your network using an Ethernet cable to ensure a stable internet connection.


FAQs

Q: "I have a message saying '🟠 The video is slightly delayed. Some controls have been temporarily disabled.' What does that mean?

A: This means that your device is not in sync with the livestream and that you'll no longer be able to control replays and overlays. You will see this message when:

  • The cameras have a poor network connection

  • The device that you are using for CloudStudio can not keep up with the workload.

  • The device that you are using for CloudStudio has poor network speeds.

Ensure that your cameras network speeds are sufficient, that your device meets the hardware requirements listed above, and the network speeds on your CloudStudio device are sufficient.


Q: "I have a message saying '🔴 The video is significantly delayed. All controls have been temporarily disabled.' What does that mean?

A: This means that your device is not in sync with the livestream and that you'll no longer be able to use any of the controls in CloudStudio. You will see this message when:

  • The cameras have a poor network connection

  • The device that you are using for CloudStudio can not keep up with the workload.

  • The device that you are using for CloudStudio has poor network speeds.

Ensure that your cameras network speeds are sufficient, that your device meets the hardware requirements listed above, and the network speeds on your CloudStudio device are sufficient.


Q: "The footage is lagging or choppy in CloudStudio, why?"

A: If you notice any lag on your device please ensure that the device hardware requirements as well as the network requirements are met.
