AutoDirector

Use AutoDirector to automatically switch between cameras in CloudStudio as the action unfolds

Updated over a month ago

AutoDirector uses AI to interpret the action on the field and then automatically switch between cameras to get the best view for the audience! This frees up your operators to manage scoring and commentary.

AutoDirector is currently available for Baseball and Softball to switch between two camera angles

Use AutoDirector on your Broadcast

You must first ensure your scene and account is enabled for AutoDirector. If you're unsure if this has been done, please reach out to Spiideo support for confirmation.

Once done, you can:

Schedule your Broadcast

For Spiideo Player:

For External Broadcasting:

When scheduling a broadcast for AutoDirector, you should choose the 'Spiideo Advanced Plus (Auto Director)' storyboard.

Using AutoDirector

Once your broadcast is live, you can open CloudStudio and watch the camera switch in real time as the AI identifies key events at home plate. You can adjust camera angles manually but the AutoDirector will override your changes on the next AI-given instruction. You can still freely:

  • Operate graphics and overlays

  • Adjust the scorebug

  • Commentate

  • Tag events

AutoDirector will use the camera 'High Home' as the default view and then switch to a center camera focusing on the mound and home plate, when the batter takes their place.
