Camera system notifications are a great way to get notified of any issues immediately to ensure your arenas are always online and ready for upcoming broadcasts.
NOTE: This feature is available for both Spiideo Perform (play.spiideo.com) users and Spiideo Play users (play.spiideo.com).
In this article, we will cover the different types of notifications and when they are triggered.
1. Account level notifications
Internal or external people are notified if any scene (i.e. venue) within the account encounters some sort of issue.
📌 All administrators of the account will have this feature enabled. See steps below for how to enable and disable notifications.
Step 1: Go to your notifications settings in either the Scenes tab (Spiideo Perform) or CloudControl (Spiideo Play users)

Step 2: Add a notification recipient
There are two types of recipients:
Internal
External
Internal recipients are users that are already in your account - i.e. system administrators, etc.
An external user could be a local installer that needs to receive notifications when camera systems or specific camera systems go offline, but are not users in your account.
💡 TIP: Add your companies' support email so you receive these alerts directly into your ticketing system.

Step 3: Toggle "enable" for that email to start receiving notifications

2. Scene level notifications
Internal or external people are notified if a specific scene (i.e. venue) encounters some sort of issue.
Scene level notifications:
Emails added to scene level notifications will be notified if that specific arena encounters any form of issue.
A common example would be a local installer or local IT person that you want to notify immediately when there are camera system issues at that specific venue.
Step 1: In the Scenes tab (Spiideo Perform) or CloudControl (Spiideo Play users), click on the specific arena

Step 2: Click on the notifications settings of that arena

Step 3: Add the recipient and enable notifications

3. What triggers a notification?
Today we send notifications for two occasions:
When a scene has gone offline/online
When an offline scene has a scheduled recording coming up soon
Scene Online/Offline
We send out a notification to our customers when a scene has gone offline, or has come online again
To avoid dozens of notifications, the Scene must be in the changed state (Online -> Offline, Offline -> Online) for 1 hour before the customer is notified
Scheduled Recording
We notify customers about upcoming recordings on Offline scenes
These notifications are sent at specific intervals before the recording start, which are
24 hours before recording
12 hours before recording
6 hours before recording
3 hours before recording
1 hours before recording
30 minutes before recording
10 minutes before recording
⚠️WARNING: If you disable your alerts, you and others will not be notified if cameras go offline before important games.
