Ordering AutoData: Soccer LIVE

Requirements and How to order AutoData for soccer using your Spiideo camera systems

Updated over 2 years ago

Powered by AI tracking technology, AutoData: Soccer LIVE generates live game event data (goals, shots, passes, etc.) and individual player tracking data (high intensity sprints, speed, distance covered, etc.), continuously during the entire recording, for both home and away teams.

Before we begin:

If you would like to have AutoData enabled for your Spiideo Camera Systems, please reach out to your Sales Manager to discuss your options. Please note: At this time, AutoData is exclusively for:

  • Football (Soccer) matches

  • Of 2x45 minute halves (including injury time)

  • Only scenes using S-LINE or X-LINE Wide (two camera systems)

You can order data live or for games that have already finished. See below how it works!

1. Types of AutoData

There are two types of AutoData you can request, each requires a different level of information provided. You select which type you wish to request during the ordering process detailed later in this article. Types of data are as followed:

a. Enhanced AutoData

Enhanced AutoData provides both team and named player data. The requirements for this are:

  • Both team names

  • Both team jersey colors

  • Both team lineups (Name and jersey number)

  • One AutoData token

b. Normal AutoData

Normal AutoData provides both team data and numbered player data. The requirements for this are:

  • Both team jersey colors

  • One AutoData token

2. Ordering AutoData BEFORE the Recording is Started

Ordering data in this way will allow you to reap the benefits of live automatic data. The events will start populating to the timeline automatically within 2-10 minutes from kickoff.

Here are the steps to order data before you start the recording...

Step 1: Login to Spiideo Perform through your web browser (Chrome, Safari)

Step 2: Go to the Recordings tab and Start a new recording 15-30 minutes before kickoff.

📌 IMPORTANT: If the recording is started after kickoff, it will not work.

Step 3: Toggle On and click Next to continue

Step 4: Choose type of data

Enhanced requires the full lineup for both teams

Normal only requires the teams

If you choose, Enhanced: Select Home team and add:

  • Team name

  • Jersey colors

  • Starting lineup - number and name

  • Bench - number and name

Repeat steps for Away team.

If you choose Normal, add:

  • Jersey colors

For home and away teams

Enhanced line-ups entered

Normal only teams are entered

Step 5: Start the recording

Best practice is to start the recording anywhere from 15-30 minutes before kickoff.

NOTE: If the recording is started > 1 hour before kickoff, the auto-detection will time out and it will not work.
