Uploading video to your Spiideo Perform account is a common way to store all of your recordings in one place.
Please be aware, uploading footage will use up both Recording and Storage Quota
Suggested Video Formats
We suggest that your uploaded video should be:
MP4 or Quicktime format (i.e. .mp4 or .mov file extensions).
H264 encoding format
How to Upload Video
Step 1: Open the recordings tab in Spiideo Perform and click '+ New' > 'New upload'
Step 2: Enter recording information. Sections are as followed:
Enter the recording title (optional)
Select a Sport (Important to choose the correct sport being uploaded)
Toggle to create an instant download link for upload
Store recording as full or trimmed. Trimmed recordings will be reduced to just their tags in 10 days
Set time uploaded video was recorded
Allow other users with access to the recording to create tags
Share to relevant groups (optional)
Share to individuals in your account (optional)
Once finished, choose 'Select file' to continue
Step 3: Drag a file or click the grey box to choose a file from your local device
The video file will upload and return you to your recordings tab when complete. The uploaded video will need to process and once complete, it will be playable from your recordings tab.
Uploading Errors
If your video fails to process, you may receive the above error. This may be due to:
Corrupt video
Mismatching resolutions in merged video
Unsupported encoding format
You will also see this red triangle warning on your uploaded video
We recommend you:
Test that the entire video plays in VLC media player (Click throughout the video to see if it stops at any point)
Try reencoding the video e.g. using
Handbrake https://handbrake.fr/ (available for MacOS, Linux, Windows)
The built-in encoding service in MacOS (right click on the file in Finder, go to Services -> Encode Selected Video Files, select the desired encoding and resolution and press Continue)
After reencoding, try uploading again
If you receive the same error, please reach out to support with the video file information (File type, encoding format, size)

Q: How long will it take the video to fully upload?
A:
For a 2 hour recording (5-10 GB file), it may take anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours depending on your internet speeds while uploading.
It will also depend on the way the video is encoded. See below for best formats..

A:
MP4 or Quicktime format (i.e. .mp4 or .mov file extensions).

For videos encoded in other formats, the format may not be supported (resulting in an error) or the time to process can be up to 1.6-2 times the length of the video for full HD (i.e. 1 hour of video will take 1.5 hour to process)
Q: What is the maximum file size?
A: The maximum file size is 30GB
Q: Does uploading video count against my Recording and Storage quota?
A: Yes! But just like all recordings, you can trim them to save on storage
Q: Can I upload multiple videos at the same time and combine videos (i.e. first and second half)?
A: You currently cannot combine or upload multiple videos at the same time.
Q: Is there a timeout for uploading?
A: The maximum time to upload is 12 hours. If it takes longer than this, the upload will fail
