Whilst updating your password is a straightforward process, adjusting your email address requires a few extra steps. Regardless of whether you're using Spiideo Perform, Play, or Replay, the workflows are the same.
Please note that you can only change your Spiideo password through Spiideo if you created your account using direct sign-in (email and password). If you signed up using Google or Apple, you'll need to change your password through Google or Apple instead.
Changing Your Password
To change your password, go to the login page. If you haven't already, you'll need to sign out first to get there.
Click 'Sign out' in the left-side menu to sign out.
To continue, click 'Did you forget your password?'.
Enter the e-mail address of the user you are resetting the password for and click 'Reset password.'
Shortly after clicking the reset button, you'll receive a verification code from noreply@spiideo.com with a 6-digit verification code.
If you haven't received the email within a few minutes, here's what to check:
You typed your email address correctly when requesting the password reset.
The email hasn't ended up in your spam or junk folder.
noreply@spiideo.com isn't on your blocked senders list.
Your inbox has enough storage space to receive new messages.
Searching for words such as 'Spiideo' or 'verification'.
Enter the verification code as well as your new password and click 'Change password'. Once you've clicked 'Change password', you'll be redirected back to Spiideo Perform, Play or Replay.
Adjusting Your E-Mail Address
Whilst you can't change your email address on an existing account, you can create a new user with the email you'd like, and we can migrate certain content over to that new account. The content that can be migrated to a new account is:
Recordings/Broadcasts created by you.
Presentations created by you.
Tag panels created by you.
When you've created a new account, any content that other users have shared with your old account will need to be shared again manually to your new account. You'll also need to be re-added to any groups your previous user was part of.
Start by creating a new account. Once that's done, contact Spiideo Support and make sure to include:
The email address you're migrating from
The email address you're migrating to
When we migrate your account, your new user will be given the same role that your previous user had on the account.
