An overview of the data included for AutoData Ice Hockey orders and how to navigate

What Data is Included?

Ordering AutoData for your ice hockey matches will provide a detailed, professional breakdown of your team and the opposition team.

From your AutoData breakdown, you will receive the followings data points:

Also included is a game clock and score bug, displayed in the top left corner of the video player:


Accessing & Navigating your Order

To access your AutoData order, navigate to the game you have placed your order on. From the web player, click the 'Stats' tab:

​From here you can access the following data panels via the drop down menu:

Statistics

The stats panel is a display of all statistics for both teams.

This can be filtered by:

  • Full game

  • Each period

You can click on all underlined statistics to filter for those tags on your recording.

Shots

The Shots & Goals panel shows total shots and goals and their location on the ice. These data points are displayed as:

  • Goal

  • Shot saved

  • Shot blocked

  • Shot off target

Also displayed are all players ranked by their total shots as well as the time and result of each shot.

This can be filtered by:

  • Team

  • Full game

  • Individual periods

Clicking on a data point on the shot map will take you to that corresponding moment in the video player.


You can also display this data by zones with each zone showing the corresponding:

  • Goals

  • Shots on target

  • Shots off target

  • Percentage of shots on target

As well as overlay a heat map of shots & goals on the ice:

Possession

Possession displays the time spent in control of the puck. This panel is broken down into 10 minute segments as well as full game possession and possession for each period:

Tactical

The Tactical panel displays face offs throughout the game. Broken down into sections of the ice, it shows:

  • total face offs

  • Won vs lost face offs

  • Percentage of won face offs

This panel can be filtered by:

  • Team

  • Full game

  • Each period


Timeline and Video Filtering

Unique for AutoData Ice Hockey is the ability to filter your tag timeline and game video to more discrete periods of the match.

  1. Collapse/Expand the timeline

  2. Swap between first and second-level tags


Filter by period:

Filter to show:

  • The full game timeline and video

  • Specifically for each period of the game


Filter by key moments in the game:

Here you can filter to show specifically:

  • Active Play

  • Power Plays

  • When teams are short handed

  • When teams are full strength

When a filter is active, you can send all filtered moments as clips to a presentation


Filter on teams and players:

You can also filter to only show tags and video for:

  • For both teams

  • For either team

  • For individual players


Navigation Tips

You can quickly navigate through your data panels as well as filter tags on the recording timeline by clicking on the corresponding data type from the 'Statistics' panel:

You can also filter for specific tags on the recording timeline by clicking the corresponding numerical value from the 'Statistics' panel:

Actionable buttons are represented by an underline and are available for quick and precise navigation through your data points.
