Streaming Encoder Recommendations and Compatibility

Best practices for purchasing stream encoders or understanding compatibility of your existing encoders

Updated over a week ago

Stream Encoder Compatibility with Spiideo Replay

This guide will help you determine whether your current streaming encoder works with Spiideo Replay, or if you need to purchase a new device. It includes:

  • Spiideo’s recommended hardware

  • A compatibility checklist for existing stream encoders

  • Key technical requirements for external SRT ingestion

  • 1 encoder per external camera source delivered to Spiideo

  • Each encoder must comply with the Spiideo encoder requirements below

  • Each encoder is connected to the internet

  • ⚠️ Important: you should use the same encoder for the same external camera for all games for that specific venue. This ensures the correct video feed is delivered to the correct 'angle' every time.
